🚘 Yesterday in Camooweal!!
Had a good meeting with locals and caught up with a few people around town.
Like most trips out west, the best part is always the conversations afterwards, hearing what’s really going on in the community.
Took a few snaps from the day while travelling through.
Always appreciate people taking the time to stop and have a yarn.

STOP TARGETING FARMERS - GO AFTER TERRORISTS AND CRIMINALS
Everyone in this country agrees on one thing: guns should never end up in the hands of terrorists, criminals or extremists.
But every time something happens, governments reach for the same lazy response, tighten the screws on licensed firearm owners.
Farmers. Recreational shooters. Law-abiding Australians.
These are the people who go through background checks, licensing and strict rules already. Many of them are the same people protecting crops, controlling feral pests and helping keep rural Australia running.
Meanwhile criminals don’t line up for licences.
If someone wants an illegal gun in this country, sadly they can still find one and that’s the problem we should actually be focused on.
Another concern is linking mental health issues too directly with firearms licensing. The last thing we want is farmers or regional Australians avoiding getting help because they’re worried they’ll automatically lose their licence.
99.9% of firearm owners are responsible Australians doing the right thing.
If this parliament is serious about community safety, the priority should be simple:
Go after terrorists.
Go after criminals.
Go after illegal guns.
Stop punishing the people who already follow the law.

⛽💰 Australians are being told to brace for $3 a litre fuel because of wars overseas.
Meanwhile we’re ignoring the obvious.
We can grow our own fuel.
Ethanol from sugarcane and grain could support farmers, create regional jobs and cut our reliance on imported fuel.
The Katter's Australian Party forced through Queensland’s 4% ethanol mandate… but it’s barely enforced.
Our ethanol plants are running at around 40% capacity while 90% of our fuel is imported.
Farmers are ready.
Industry is ready.
Government just needs the backbone to mandate it.
It’s time Australia started growing its own fuel.
